I tried EVERYTHING that came to mind for troubleshooting (checked tons of comments sections/bug reports, googling, re-reading tons of mod descriptions looking for conflict warnings, disabling ALL of my mods) NOTHING fixed it! I came across plenty of people having the same/similar issues and LOTS of "this mod doesn't work" comments on various mods that either enabled or required console commands but NO fixes. On/Off didn't matter, it was always 'stuck' in lowercase. The CapsLock button just would not toggle between the cases. Only when I tried I couldn't because I could't get my letters to capitalize. Since this was my first time ever using the debug console I did some research and found a cheat sheet of codes and the tips that they are case sensitive and need to be EXACT. It wasn't until I tried an additem command that I had any issues with not getting the expected results. So at first I didn't notice any 'problems' with the console because I was mainly just using the enabler mod (Freecam and Debug Console for 1.32 Patch) for the FreeCam and to spawn characters (such as Yennefer or Triss) to test appearance mods. The CapsLock button WILL NOT work in the console, you HAVE to use the Shift key to capitalize letters. TLDR: Codes/commands are case sensitive and have to be typed in EXACTLY as directed. (I've posted this on Nexus but I'm hoping the re-post here helps reach more people having the same problem.) The report button is available for those who do break the rules.įor anyone having issues with the console opening BUT some commands not working, this post MIGHT help you.
